The 37 HA, in one single block, which make up the vineyard are spread over a clay-limestone plateau.
Château L'ESCART's soils are of the highest quality and have been used for winemaking since 1752.
Limestone is present in all the soils and this gives Château L'ESCART wines their Freshness, Length and Distinction, whilst the clay contributes to their Strength and Density. These qualities are characteristic of the finest Bordeaux wines, and we can honestly say that this Terroir is truly exceptional.
